Rebecca / Turisgayvalencia
From May-26, 2010 Until May-28, 2010
The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed, loved the decor and finishing touches! Our host Max was lovely, he made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of advice on what to see and do while we were in Valencia. The location was really convenient too, close to shops, nightlife, the historical centre (and excellent transport links to everything else). It was just perfect. Thank you!

Audrey / Calle Denia
From Jun-24, 2010 Until Jun-26, 2010
I really liked the flat in Calle Denia because it felt so cosy and I would certainly use it again. A couple of things in the bathroom need to be fixed but easy to forget when we stand on the balcony and can admire Valencia up to its port

Where to Stay in Valencia

Idyllic Valencia is the best town to be if you are looking for a place where you can relax and enjoy Spain's countryside.  The inland itself does include modern amenities and sights and scenes you should not miss.  For years, Valencia seemed to be a location where most tourists dare not venture as they seem to have forgotten some part of itself.  However, after hosting the American Cup, the people seemed to wake up to Valencia's quiet glory.  Aside from mountains, valleys and excellent produce, Valencia is also teeming with ocean fronts and ports that could easily rival the best in Europe.

Going into Valencia's Old Town is like warping in time and going back to the glorious days when artists and artisans had the same visions - functionality and beauty combined.  You will find lovely building in different period styles - Gothic, Baroque and Romanesque.  Most of the buildings are either restored to their old glory or were made in contemporary times following these classical designs. You can visit a cornucopia of squares, shops, museums and art galleries, restaurants and bars and clubs that will keep you going day to night.

Aside from the Ciudad de las Artes y las Sciencias ( City of Arts and Sciences) located in a large complex that houses the largest aquarium in Europe plus an I-Max Cinema, a science gallery, and an opera house, you should also visit the Paseo Maritimo found in between Las Arenas and La Malvarrosa.  Valencia is known to have the best paella and this is where you can find the cream of the crop in paella restaurants anywhere.  America's Cup Building called Veles e Vents would amaze you with its beach front bars and bistros. For a more historical adventure, take time to visit Sagunto Ruins where you can watch plays and festivities in an open-air theatre.

The best places to stay while in Valencia would be the almost-secret hideaways that would allow you respite from the hectic schedule you keep in the real world.  Some of the most recommended are the following:

By Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences, you will find the Room Mate Marina, one of the hotels that enjoy a modern design.  Prices are competitive and you are sure of convenience and accessibility plus great service. Hospes Palau de la Mar can be found in the shopping district called L'Eixample.  This looks exactly like a mansion and you are sure to find a perfect home while in Valencia.

In Rafelguaraf, just in the country sides of Valencia, you will find Casa Sibarita, a simple townhouse that was restored to its original; 19th century glory. You are sure to find the inviting pool relaxing and the menu very suitable to any taste. For those looking for massages and the ultimate pamper place, you can stay at the Mas de Canicatti, a modern spa hotel in the outskirts of Valencia Vilamarxant.  Inspiringly located in the middle of orange groves and mountains, getting pampered is a real treat at this place.

Find more information about Valencia and the best hotels and inns to stay online or contact your travel agent.  No matter which you choose, you are sure to enjoy your stay in this wonderful town.

Renting a Valencia apartment is a much more independent way of visiting the city and is an option many people prefer.
