Testimonials

Rebecca / Turisgayvalencia
From May-26, 2010 Until May-28, 2010
The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed, loved the decor and finishing touches! Our host Max was lovely, he made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of advice on what to see and do while we were in Valencia. The location was really convenient too, close to shops, nightlife, the historical centre (and excellent transport links to everything else). It was just perfect. Thank you!

Audrey / Calle Denia
From Jun-24, 2010 Until Jun-26, 2010
I really liked the flat in Calle Denia because it felt so cosy and I would certainly use it again. A couple of things in the bathroom need to be fixed but easy to forget when we stand on the balcony and can admire Valencia up to its port

Valencia only shed its image as an industrial city during the mid-1990s.  Since then, rapid development in the expansion of the cultural, artistic and tourism possibilities in has made Valencia into what it is now - a vibrant city that offers views into its historic past, experiences in its enchanting present and glimpses into its exciting future.  There is no better time than any time today to visit the city best known for the fiery, fabulous and fun Falles Festival.

Where to Stay

Because of the city government's thrust to make Valencia as popular as Barcelona and Madrid in the Spanish tourism map, private business have been encouraged to improve on the variety of accommodation in Valencia available.  Improvements in services, amenities and facilities are also given in the equation so much so that visitors are assured a certain level of warm service in even the cheapest accommodations.

As can be expected, there are high-end hotels and villas, mid-range chain hotels and holiday apartments and low-end youth hostels to be found in Valencia.  So you should book your accommodations online weeks in advance lest you find yourself without a room for the rest of your stay.  This advice is even more important when you want to enjoy the Falles Festival when almost all the accommodation types are booked solid for days on end.

When to Stay

Valencia is a city worth visiting anytime of the year.  The tourism sights from the museums and monuments to the parks and gardens are open the whole year-round with a variety of entertainment, dining and shopping options available.

For a taste of Valencia at its frenetic, fun and fiery best, join the Falles Festival.  It is a five-day party filled with revelers in the houses and on the streets, with brass bands in full regalia parading the streets of the city, culminating in the burning of the giant puppets and fireworks all around.  And the Falles being renowned, you can expect thousands to flock to the city.  Thus, it would be very difficult to find a room.  So booking online is the best way to go.  And to save on costs, holiday apartments are the best choices.

How to Book

During the peak tourist season, you can expect hotel rooms, hostel beds and holiday apartments to be expensive for obvious reasons.  To avoid paying more for the same amenities and facilities, it is always advisable to ask about the special rates and discounts even before booking your room.  This is especially true for big groups and children.

You should also book online as many travel reservation sites offer special discounts to Netizens.  You may even be able to book a holiday apartment based on your budget as well as requirements on location and amenities.  Plus, it pays to book your holiday apartment a few weeks before your actual stay in Valencia since rates may be lower then.
